Home Delivered Meals
“Receiving meals has really changed my life. I wasn’t doing too well before and was a little depressed. The hot meal, smiles, and hugs I get every day have made a big difference and helped me so much!”
“We are deeply grateful to all those who deliver meals to us. Each one greets us with a cheerful smile and brightens the day.”
Mr. Elwood and Ms. Marge
“I wouldn’t trade the food or volunteers for anything! They are alike family to me.”
MMOW serves home-delivered noon meals Monday-Friday in three counties.
Dietary Restrictions: Dietary restrictions are reviewed during the initial interview and participants are fully informed about accommodations we can make for special needs. Several of our kitchens can provide meals that meet prescribed medical diets. Others can prepare meals without gravy or sauces and with fruit or sugar-free desserts that are suitable for most diabetics.
Cost: The average cost of MMOW’s home-delivered meal is approximately $7.00 which includes administrative costs that are fully covered by MMOW. MMOW provides a wholesome, balanced meal. Home-delivery participants who are able to pay for meals are billed only for the actual cost of the prepared food, never the administrative costs. Individual arrangements are available for participants who are able to pay for a portion of the meal cost and for those who are unable to assist with the meal cost.
Participants are never denied home-delivery meals because they are unable to pay for them.
